Stétho Custom (“we”) is a business based in Québec that operates the online store stethocustom.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

The owner of Stétho Custom acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question or request: info@stethocustom.ca.

2. Information we collect

• Orders: name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number (if provided) and order details.
• Payment: payments are processed by Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
• Communications: your name, email address and the content of your messages when you write to us.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Reviews: your name or nickname, your review and your photos, if you post a review.
• Browsing: technical information (IP address, device type, pages visited) collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we use it

• to process, ship and track your orders;
• to answer your questions and handle replacements or refunds;
• to prevent fraud and keep the store secure;
• to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations;
• to send you our newsletter, if you have agreed to it (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• to measure and improve the site and, if you agree, to personalize our ads.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

Some cookies are essential for the site to work, such as the cart and checkout. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw using the cookie banner. You can also block them in your browser settings.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share your information only with the providers that help us run the store, and only as needed:

• Shopify (store platform and payments);
• PayPal (if you pay with PayPal);
• shipping carriers (delivery);
• Google Workspace (email);
• Judge.me (customer reviews);
• our analytics and advertising tools, only if you accept the related cookies.

Some of these providers may process or store information outside Québec, including elsewhere in Canada and in the United States. We make sure they offer adequate protection. We may also share information when required by law.

6. Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described. Order information is kept for the period required by tax laws, usually six years.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: limited access, protected accounts and a secure payment platform that complies with the PCI DSS standard.

8. Your rights

You can ask for:

• access to your personal information and its correction;
• the withdrawal of your consent;
• the deletion of your information or the end of its dissemination, in the cases provided by law;
• a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.

9. Confidentiality incidents

If an incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information.

10. Minors

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
